Evil but talented? Can you separate one from the other?

If a person had a particular talent that was admired but, then the World found out that they had done something dreadful, is it OK to say you still admire their talent?

I'm thinking of Rolf Harris's art, Gary Glitter's music, Caravaggio who murdered someone but was a fantastic artist and so many more...

Would you admit to liking an evil genius' work?

Yes I think you can still enjoy their work, just switch off their name and enjoy their talent.

Difficult question Tess, but, rightfully debated.
We do aspire to the wrong ones as teens.

I like Van Gogh art work but he cut off his ear, now that's really wicked.

I know we should forgive but I have to admit when I watch Gino D'Campo on TV I always think of how the people he burgled when he was younger feel about his success. I know that's unfair he was a young man and was foolish but I do wonder how they feel.
