Is Christmas a week today?

Please don't have a go, as part of my febrile state I forget the time and date often. I've seen a few things indicating that today is the 18th (doesn't help that my watch is wonky) which would make Christmas next Tuesday. Is this right?

EDIT I am sure I am right as I have 2 appointments dated Thursday 27th.

I am glad you asked the question Ffosse. For some reason I thought it was next Wednesday.

It's incredible how soon this year has passed. I think as we get older time flies more. When we're kids we're too busy being whisked around with fun-packed adventures to notice.
Three working nights till freedom and 12 days off yaaaayyyy!!

12 days off will be welcome to you, Floydy.

Any plans beyond the usual?

I thought it was still weeks away, until my friends commented on it yesterday, at lunch. I was horrified. How has it crept up on me like that?

I remember that feeling Floydy, being let out of the factory for a long holiday. Our boss (who was a t***) would come around and inspect our departments and we couldn't leave until everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. So each year we would purposely leave a small mess somewhere. That way he would think he had caught us out. We would quickly tidy it up, then we could go.

The last day I left that building was the best day of my life.

I bet it was mate. Sounds a horrific place.

We were treated to a lavish hotel breakfast after our shift last Friday morning, we have a Chinese takeaway meal for us tomorrow night paid for by our team leader, and an extra half hour tea break this week. Plus we each got a bottle of wine and a box of Toblerone Minis this morning too.
I know I carp on about where I work, but we get some nice treats at Christmas

Ffosse - No mate, not doing anything exciting this year. Just glad of a break tbh.
Sorry you're still being buggered about by the hospital mate too. I have no answers of course, just to wish you all the best and hopefully you can make the most of Christmas if possible buddy.
