I've just got into the habit of drying it every time I go in the bathroom. Its a bit tedious but it saves it dripping onto the carpet.
My toilet is in a separate room from the shower but I don't think it gets cold enough here for condensation.
I have palpitations when I hear of bathrooms with carpet, when I was in the UK last year my cousin's bathroom had carpet, I was terrified in case I got water on it. My bathroom (and most in this part of the world) you could hose down if you felt so inclined. The laundry and the bathroom even have a drain in the centre of the room.
I don't even have bath any more, just a shower cubical, since the kids were old enough to wash themselves no one used the bath anyway so I had it taken out. Can't stand the thought of lying in my own dirty water, Yuck!
Not that this has anything to do with painting...
