Mecca Accident

Breaking news about accident in Mecca killing over 100 people in the Grand Mosque when a crane collapsed in a bad storm
The crane crashed through the roof in high winds, and it injured around 200 people.

I only heard a tiny bit of this on tonight's news Wrinkly. I didn't hear where it was though. What a fluke thing to happen, and how awful.

It is terrible, death toll now 107 and 100's injured.
The crane is owned by a German company owned by the Bin Laden family.
It is amazing how many folks over the years have died at Mecca, due to millions of people going to these festivals of prayer.
By the sounds of it many died due to panic.

There was one view mentioned on the radio by someone who was that that the crane may have been struck by lightning.

Its just another accident they seem to keep having in Mecca.
Too many people congregating in the same place.
Something is bound to happen.
