Re: Packing our bags

Enjoy your holiday, if you like sardines that's the place to be. I don't like them but I love the smell of them when they cook them on those little grill things outside.

Re: Packing our bags

Enjoy Lisbon. We love it there.

If you are looking forward to fish then I recommend a pit stop at the well known "Restaurante Marisqueira Concha D`ouro."

It can be found half way up the main tourist drag (R. Augusta) which runs from the plaza "Praça do Comércio" up through town. The restaurant is on the right as you walk up into town from the Plaza.

It has a big tank in the window with lots of fresh fish, lobsters etc in it and they sell a wide range of fabulous seafood and fish. You always see people sitting outside eating huge spider crabs and other tasty dishes. Definitely worth a visit.

Another top spot if you fancy a no frills, absolutely simple but tasty lunch of Chicken Piri Piri with salad and chips and bread on the side with an ice cool lager, is the famous "Bom Jardin" restaurant. This is where all the air flight attendants and cruise ship staff go.

It really is a no frills place, just the simplest but tasty spit roast chickens with your own piri piri basting sauce. They also serve Bacalao Salted Cod balls for starters. And all for a few euros. Very much comfort food.

Anyway I'm sure you know what you like.

Have a "Pasteis De Nata" for me !

Cheers
