Women just don't get it
This is a story which is perfectly logical to all males:A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6."
A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.
The wife asks him, "Why did you buy 6 cartons of milk?"
He replied, "They had eggs."

My Missus never sent me out for a message again after an incident about 30 years ago. I was heading up for a few pints one Saturday night, she was playing cards with some friends, she produced a five pound note and asked, "Will you bring me back five singles". A 'Single' in Dublin means a normal bag of chips. Yes, after a few jars I brought her back five bags of chips and her change. I will not repeat the language she used, but when the chips were down she was alright.

Makes perfect sense to me , but the I think with a logical mind and have been accused of pedantry
Some people lack the ability to construct a sentence properly , either verbally or written , and this can often lead to confusion .
I have the habit now of double checking with peeps just to be sure I understand them correctly

While in the Air Force years ago, My boss asked me to order 10 boxes of Ziplok bags. I did and then needed to find extra room in the storage room for the 10 cases supply sent us. QUP (Quantity Unit Pack) became a new word in my vocabulary after that incident. LOL|
