What a mess.
HiWe have no idea how many immigrants we have.
Years ago we had a basic system, record who comes in and who goes out.
No great shakes and quite simple.
This was stopped as a result of Tory Cuts.
The outcome is this.

We also stopped recording how many Non EU citizens who came to the UK and when they left
Overstayers on educational and Tourist Visas were not reconciled.
We also stopped checking the payrolls to see if so called students or tourists were working full time.
We are still not doing so.
This is a nonsense and as far as taking back control is concerned, it is a complete joke.
We have left the EU, but our Borders are still wide open and when we catch illegals we still release them on bail to disappear again.
Leaving the EU has not changed anything, we could have checked all the ins and out of EU immigrants, we chose not to.
It is all smoke and mirrors.

There must be a reason, which I don't know about, which has stopped the UK Government from fixing the illegal immigration problem.Someone benefits by it. (pun intended).
There are moves which would discourage illegal immigration:-
1) No benefits, for 10 years, for immigrant or family.
2) Must pay for medical assistance, (they can pay for their trip, so why not?)
3) No automatic right to Citizenship.
4) Off shore facilities pending border checks.
5) No right for families to follow them here.
But, we've all been saying all this for years!

I fear it's too late now to do anything about it, the rot has set in and this once great country is being destroyed from the inside. We are going to need a far tougher PM and government than the one who currently occupy Westminster, and I honestly can't see anyone who is up for the job.....
