Another Hoola Gal The hoop I found in the garage must be an old one from years ago, it's very light. I really must try to get my act together and clean the muck and webs off (shudders again) and try it.
I feel sure I will fail though

Gosh hoola hoops...that takes me back. We used to see how many we could keep going at the same time...I wonder if I could still do it...probably not ,

I was never any good with the hoola hoop , I was a thin child with no hips to hold up a hoop but I loved skipping particularly the communal skipping with a washing line

Wow, we have a multi-hooper! I'm impressed!
How many did you manage?

Bet you could still do it now

Oh yes, communal skipping - that was great fun. And I remember those times when two at each end were doing the ropes and each individual had to zoom in to skip and run out and let the next one in.

Then there was the French skipping. I used to enjoy that too.

I wonder if kids still skip like that these days? Probably not - too dangerous

Re: Hoola Hooping and skipping

Never did much hola hooping, sure I tried as a kid but no.

Skipping, I reckon I spent years skipping with my ear phones in listening to my favourite songs.

It were only a few months ago I went looking for my rope only to find it had gone.... leather rope with nicely weighted handles/grips

Skipping is a good form of exercise, convenient as a little space in the garden is all thats required.
