The Rain

Hi

It has not stopped all day, heavy and persistent, at times torrential.

The main river is on the rise, it is already 3.1m up at the gauge, it takes a couple of days to really rise as it comes from the Welsh Hills.

It is the local rain which is causing the problems, the brook has already topped it's banks, the road drains cannot cope. I have standing water on my garden and getting into town is a no no.

It is like a small river going across the roundabout.

What is it like where you are?

Re: The Rain

In Western New South Wales and rural Queensland it is the worst drought in the living memory of many. Any rain there is is falling on the coast. But when it breaks there will probably be floods again. So I hope things improve for you and you can hope the same for us.

Re: The Rain

Hi

There is absolutely no chance I will get on the River fishing this week.

The local Pools are flooded out as well.

Sunday Market has been cancelled.

Good job I have enougth food in.

I used to live in the bottom left hand of Rectory Drive Judd.

Next to the Beck, where it goes under the bridge.

I banked it up to keep my ferrets dry.
