Re: Your strangest or funniest present.

I received a Google Mini from my son, gawd knows what he thought I would do with it.

https://store.google.com/au/product/google_home_mini

I have set it up but with all the restrictions that I apply to Google so it is pretty crippled but it can tell me the time, do maths or set off an alarm and answer questions.

It is in a room where I watch TV and as I live alone Google is not going to learn very much from spying on me.

Bruce, I think that is a great present from a son who cares.
When you live alone it is useful to have something to remind you, wake you up or respond to a question.

No Mags I gave to the village hall Chrismas Fete .
It would have looked ok if it had been hung alongside other glass balls but a bit silly on its own.

Mine is a Clonakilty Black Pudding wrapped in Christmas paper. I didn’t find it under the tree but in my fridge on Christmas Day. I was thrilled, it’s just what l wanted!

One of my strangest which turns out to be a really well talked of even now present was from my younger brother when he was about 15 (ish) I would of been 17 he brought me a bike pump now I did not have a bike. When I questioned he said "oh well you can always give it me back for my birthday."

I agree with the first sentence but I have other ways of doing what the Mini does. but it sits there quietly on the table and doesn't get in the way so I don't mind it at all. It just seems such an odd present.

BTW last night my daughter came round and set up my smart TV so I have Disney+ and Netfliks using her account. I also use her Spotify on my phone. It's all quite legal because these channels allow up to four users at a time for one subscription.

I am going to watch all the Star Wars movies in order.
