Re: Replacing a Car Battery.
The devil of a job innit Swimmy? I changed the battery on our Qashqai a couple of years ago and, while it was a fairly easy job, it was the aftermath that puzzled me. First the keys had to be reset, then the immobiliser had to be reset and, finally, the radio had to be reprogrammed. Thank God for Google and my next door neighbour (a car mechanic).Re: Replacing a Car Battery.

Re: Replacing a Car Battery.
yes with modern cars if you remove the battery all the electronics have to be reset. When my Nissan Xtrail needed a new battery suprisingly enough not only did the main dealer fit it for me but a lot cheaper than "jack sprats garage" down the road. No hassle no problems an no charge for resetting if they had to do itRe: Replacing a Car Battery.
