Fitbit

Do you use a Fitbit or Fitness tracker?

Are the expensive ones the best?

And, are they really helpful in keeping fit?

Re: Fitbit

I have a Fitbit versa
It’s a mystery to me although someone on the tech thread kindly gave me a link to the online Manual .
They do all sorts of things ( only I have never got into it)
I only use it for one thing it counts the steps I do .
I try to do 10000 a day .
Today I did 11,424.

Re: Fitbit

Isn't it a bit like a smart meter for your fitness? So most people don't need one but some people feel more comfortable if they are told what to do.

Re: Fitbit

My friend T has one - it monitors pulse rate, sleep pattern, time spent sitting still, time spent walking, blood pressure - even alerts her when she has email or text messages on her mobile phone. Does everything but make coffee!!

Re: Fitbit

Hi

I have a smartwatch with an app.

It monitors my activity and tells me when I must move.

Guy got it and I am convinced that he has set it for an Olympic Athlete.

Re: Fitbit

Thank you all very much,
I am considering which to buy.
But I do not want one that 'Paints your toe nails and does a Tap Dance.

Mainly for walking.

I remember BBC's Watchdog programme doing an exposé on these. Here's the link:
