Re: Being Sensible.

Hi

Being Sensible.

As soon as Guy improves I will be out fishing.

On the Pools the pegs are 4m apart, no need to come into contact with anyone.

On the 16th June the rivers are open, the pegs are 10ms apart.

Perfectly safe.

Absolutely right. The only things stopping me from going now are 1. The water's too cold so the fish will be rather dormant and, 2. Many freshwater species tend to spawn in May and June so, they'll be more interested in doing what nature intended than looking for food at the moment.

I shall prolly go at the end of the month when it starts to get a bit warmer.

Trouble is Roxy, people are not only in the water are they.

They stand about talking round the edge of the pool, then there's the loo's and changing rooms etc too.

I thought the fishing clubs could start again now Percy?

There was something about it on the tea time news tonight, but I confess I was only half listening.

Fishing on lakes and pools is a year-round activity these days Mups. It is on most canals too unless a river should join into the canal and leave a distance later. With a river (inc any sections of canals) there is the usual close season for freshwater fish (March 16 - June 15 inc I think) when you can't fish legally.
