That is correct imo TGS! The odds dont exist so it is certain that
intelligent beings exist elsewhere! However the odds against us
ever locating them are extremely high as our continued existence
becomes incresingly less likely as time goes on
And all this only applies to OUR GALAXY?
What applies to the countless other galaxies in the universe?
It is all just academic in practical terms?

Re: Extinction?

With our current and foreseeable future capabilities, the sheer distance involved makes contact impossible.
But who knows? Wormholes etc

Correct me if I am wrong but the question there appears to imply that the human race might imminently become extinct which I very seriously doubt.

Why?

Because such a notion stems from the naïve assumption that Planet Earth is the only place in he universe with human life.

I very seriously doubt that to be the case.

I strongly suspect human life was seeded here on Earth quite deliberately and if so, it will have been seeded on numerous other planets too.

There may easily be humans right across the galaxy.

You greatly misunderstand the Christian message.

It's definitely not Christianity.

It's simply a more advanced race of life seeding planets with a particular type of DNA
