Re: Gumbud Leisurely Scribbles (part 1)

one of my favorite drinks back in the old days or rather my young days was brown and mild - half a pint of mild with a bottle of brown ale thrown in.

I could never face the pints of bitter unless I had a drop of lime in it! - got some funny looks ordering a pint of bitter and lime - [so what!]

Re: Gumbud Leisurely Scribbles (part 1)

I remember the light and bitter, the first time I went to visit my brother in London he took me out for a pint and that’s what he was drinking, but what truly amazed me was the size of the ‘small’ whiskey I ordered, it was so small it evaporated before it reached me lips, the barman insisted it was 10 year old Irish whiskey, if it was it was very small for it’s age. Our ‘small’ one is a much larger measure.

Re: Gumbud Leisurely Scribbles (part 1)

Hadn’t had a pint of the black all week on account of the wife being laid up with flu, I’ll murder a few tomorrow.

Oh my dark lovely with the flat blonde head
I’ve missed you this week as if you were dead
Out to meet you I could not get
The wife was sick and the dog needed a vet
Cooking and scrubbing was all I could do
Now it’s all over I’ll be back with you.

BUT!

If you don't fancy drinking plain
with 'lessers' on this occasion;
buy yourself some Pink Champagne
..raise a toast to tax evasion!

Re: Gumbud Leisurely Scribbles (part 1)

I always wanted to be a scribbler reknowned
but everytime I practice the pen flew out me hand
it didn't mattered where I started
it just ran away from me!
I tried relaxin, budhha sticks and chinese cup of tea

I thought I'd try some straight lines
but they wobbled in the middle
then onto circles
but they just dribbled, dribble, dribble

perhaps I'll never be a scribbler
so what am I doin here?
someone said scribble limericks
not that is really queer!
