It's the 27 that are going into recession. Germany narrowly escaped it this month...

Re: Heseltine comes out against Brexit

Everyone talks about trade and the EU....if it was just a trade agreement we would all want to stay in but it's far more than that.....it's a federal state wanting it's own army it's own rules and laws....much much more than trade...I think people have forgotten that

Re: Heseltine comes out against Brexit

I laughed at the moment Heseltine stated the reason why people voted in favour of Brexit three years ago. He said that it's because it coincided with people getting all itchy about Turkey sending hundreds of thousands of migrants here.
Pompous and condescending upper class twits like him really do think the working class are like sheep and have no individual brains to decide what we want in life.

Perhaps all politicians should read and take note of the recent BBC News item on the link below:

"Fifty years ago, the way people voted in the UK was largely determined by social class, but different influences are at play in the 21st Century."

That's right, Baz yes
It's still the same in many areas I guess though. The more affluent parts of the country are normally heavily-swaying towards Conservative with the average worker voting Labour.
I think the gap closed a lot when Tony Blair took over with his "New Labour" in the 90's and it bridged a bit of the gap.
It's about tradition mainly though and the tories have always put the more wealthy first and always will.
Unfortunately a lot of Labour supporters are now in a state of confusion because nobody wants to vote for Corbyn.
We're in a terrible mess really from a whole spectrum of politicians who are not doing their job properly.

Heseltine comes out against Brexit

Well of course he does, he's probably been riding on the EU Gravy Train somewhere along the line and stands to lose a lot of money if we ever come out....

Re: Heseltine comes out against Brexit

Heseltine, Blair and Major are all part of the same Europhile club. They and their cohorts are much of the reason we are where we are, at an impasse.
Not only did they set us up for the mess where are in they actually want to us to remain here under their under their control.
The fact that they condemn Labour is just a smoke screen for their own shortcomings and the fact that in the past, they have made some serious misjudgements when they were in charge.

Heseltine is no more the easy going, nice old grandfatherly figure, than Corbyn. As a hard headed businessman the only interests he represents are his own.

That old fart has had a long lifetime of talking shyte and doing
nothing else, so he should know all the ropes when it comes to
so called debating Floydy? Imo talking shyte should not be classed
as commendable! Did he ever do anything that stood out as being
of benefit to the people of uk??
He should shuffle off and shut up!!
Regards Donkeyman!
