Re: Tony Martin - murderer.

I don't see how anybody can feel sorry for the boy who was killed.... if he hadn't been breaking the law he would still be alive!

If Mr Martin had a heart attack, as a result of being scared when he heard them in his house, would these thieving criminals have been charged with manslaughter?

Surely it is time that people who break the law realize that and injuries they sustain, whilst breaking the law, should just be accepted as the down side to the job they do.

If they broke a shop window & bled to death because the window cut an essential artery, would the expect compensation?

If somebody broke into my home and scared me, I would have no problem in using whatever form of protection I could lay my hands on! It is ludicrous that people are not allowed to protect themselves when somebody breaks into their home!

Perhaps firing a gun was designed to stop them coming back, and if this lad was in the dark on somebody else's property, he had nobody to blame but himself!

Re: Tony Martin - murderer.

I very much doubt that Mr Martin shot to kill, he shot blind in fear and the bullet found it's mark unfortunately.
My Farmer OH has guns here, and I doubt he'd hesitate to use them if he though it necessary.

Much more likely Martin shot in order to injure.

You are entitled to have your opinion, but I think you will find that many disagree.

Yes, that could also have been the case, but I still don't think killing was in his mind..

Good for Tony Martin, he should have been congratulated, not punished

John Stalker was the Assistant Chief Constable of Greater Manchester.

After he retired and was able to speak more freely he commented that I take the view that anyone who enters my house by the bedroom window at 3 o'clock in the morning automatically forfeits their human rights

Anyone that goes out to rob should be shot, and any survivors should be shot again....
