I'll be moving sooner rather than later!
Got a phone call this morning, offering me the house rental my younger sis viewed for me a few days ago! I'm flippin' over the moon.
Jammy, or what?
True I haven't seen it myself yet, but it will only be temporary, a roof over our heads while the flat sells, and the house purchase goes through. It was always plan B to rent awhile, so when the house is mine I can go through it slowly, getting in carpets, decorators, trades people, etc., to bring it up to a good standard.
I don't know what kind of condition everything is, (house I'm buying) but will take a good look next Thursday on my second viewing, and I will also ask the agency for the letting to let me view that too, while I'm there.
I will be going into the agency on Tuesday morning (as I explained I was driving to Lowestoft on Monday afternoon), so I will do all the paperwork, the ID, the references, and a week's rent to hold the property.
My younger sis, who lives just across the road (handy, eh?) could collect the keys when everything is finalised, and she could see in the removals people - when I organise it - and maybe delivery of a fridge freezer. I need to measure in the kitchen of the house I'm buying first, before rushing into it, plus I need to see the size of the lounge so I can also order a 2 seater settee later.
After it's all gone through I will then speak to my buyer and ask if she wants to buy my bed off me, or if I need to take it. Either way doesn't matter, as the removals staff can disassemble and assemble.
While it's true it will be extra money, and coming out of my savings initially, when the flat is sold it can go back, and also come out of the budget set aside for such expense. I will need to reign in my spending, because I will, for a few months at least, be paying the rent and CT on the flat. I will contact the housing association and solicitor when I know the rental is mine, tell them I have somewhere to move to, and they can do the flat sale as quick as they blimmin' well like!!
I'm mega excited.
