My new smartphone....

Hasn't got a user guide!

Apparently I have to download one from the internet. I looked & it's 60 pages long! I don't fancy wasting all that ink & A4 size paper - and what a bulky guide it would be.

If anybody has or knows where I could get a user guide for a Samsung Galaxy A40 I would be eternally grateful..

Re: My new smartphone....

Why do you need one Carol, what is it that you are struggling with? All a smartphone is is a mini ipad that can make voice calls, so if you look at it like that then you may understand it easier?

I think you might find a basic guide pops up as you set the phone up. It tells you what to do and why. You basically just need to add your gmail account and your WiFi details, when you first turn it on it should prompt you.

Anyway no need to print the downloaded guide out download it onto your phone and read it there. 😁

Re: My new smartphone....

There's User Manual at the end of the list if you click onto Settings, Carol. That will tell you most of what you need to know
Samsung phones are very easy to navigate anyway.

My friend only got the same model as yours this week, Carol.
She also needs the User Manual.
It is already on your phone though.

As Floydy just said, go into 'Settings' and scroll down the list of contents and you will come to - 'User Manual.'

Re: My new smartphone....

Thanks everybody. I've solved the problem.

I searched the internet for a user guide & when I found the appropriate one I downloaded it to my computer & saved it as a PDF file.

Now there's a nice short cut to in on my desktop which I will be studying a lot!
