Re: Over 50s Club Wales (part 5)

Poor grandson indeed. He arrived this morning looking very sorry for himself. Managed to keep him going until lunch time, though I couldn't find a way to make him comfy. Then he got really upset and wanted his Mum desparately, so she had to come home from work. I've just rung to see how he is, and think he's not too bad this evening (had a sleep when he got home). Fracture clinic in Abergavenny tomorrow, his Mum and I are concerned that he's walking around with his head at a funny angle - but perhaps that's normal when you've got a broken collarbone - who knows?

Was a lovely day here until about 2.30 but all the washing is dry, ironed and aired so I'm not complaining!

Re: Over 50s Club Wales (part 5)

Does he have a sling Sue, that may make Chris hold his head abnormally. Lovely day, with a chilly wind. Went to Winchester to *visit* my Golden Wedding present. Well to choose the chain. Pendant is 18 carat gold but I want a white gold chain. Its very simple but I love it. We got Michael up to take him to help choose. Made carers stay across the road, as a personal moment for us. He couldn't get into the designers shop, so we had to keep running in and out to the pavement outside. Then I had to go and buy a new iron. Carer used it yesterday, dead today!! Got home and carer who stayed behind, supposedly sleeping, had gone on the rampage, a bit like last time. Bathroom light broken. I shan't list the other things but I wish they would ask how to use things before using them. Grrrr! A different carer to last time. I have now taken to locking certain rooms (my bedroom and work room) when I go out, which I feel awful about, but they do seem to think everything isa there for their use.

Lovely for you Celyn choosing things for your anniversary.Shame about the carers.
Hope your grandson's feeling a bit better Sweetsue.
My grandson passed his driving test yesterday so finally I can send him the "you've passed" card I bought the first time he tried!
My hairdresser had the days mixed up so she's coming this morning at 8.30.
Enjoy this lovely Autumn day.

Re: Over 50s Club Wales (part 5)

It's been on order for about three months rhosyn, being made by the person who designed and made Princess Anne's engagement ring. Princess Anne's husband lived in Winchester. She would often been seen popping in for the weekend to his house. Bit party out there this morning but I must be brave and take the girls out. They are not getting enough walks these days. The old girl is very frail now and needs her daily exercise. Have specialists coming from the Oxford Enablement Centre to make adjustments to Michaels wheelchair, so had better get a move on.

Re: Over 50s Club Wales (part 5)

Back from Neath today....had a good weekend with Dave and his boys.....his elder son lives in Bournemouth and came up for a few days so we had a get together. In your neck of the woods on Monday Jac ...glorious day.
I came back on the train and had to endure a mother and daughter talking .....at the top of their voices ....about all the xmas presents they had already bought and those they intended to buy in Cardiff...haven't even thought about xmas yet
