Amazon Tiny Fan Heater
I have been looking for something like this for quite some time. Its a small (500watt) fan heater. Amazon has advertised low wattage ones for years but they are all US and for 110V.This is the first I have seen for anything like our voltage (well, close enough).
It came with full instructions.
It is only 120mm tall with just an on off switch on the base and a badly placed label on the top. I think the label indicates that it is double insulated, for use indoors and it gets hot.
It also arrived with a US style two pin plug and a couple of Chinese deathdapters. After testing the heater I cut the plug off and replaced it with an Australian plug. I was surprised to find a copper cable - too much cheap Chinese stuff has aluminium wire.
It actually only draws 475 watts at 244volts but that is fine.
Now why would I want a 500watt heater when I could buy a 2400watt one for half the price from the supermarket or Big W? It is for my camper in winter.
Once you are away from the coast day time temperature are fine but at night temperatures can get down to freezing. I think this will be just perfect to keep the camper warm in the evening or early morning. (My bedding is plenty warm enough)

Whether I have 240v depends on where I am, if I am staying at a caravan park, which is 90% of the time, then I have a 15amp connection. If I am free camping then it is just a matter of wrapping up warm though in those circumstances I often have a fire (fire conditions permitting but usually not a problem in winter).
