I think I have found the problem with that wind noise rumble. That stereo microphone with the two heads is very sensitive and the camcorder volume was for the inbuilt microphone not an external one. So reduced to a level to 5 out of 15 and so far seems to have worked. Have to try in a stiff breeze later on to see what setting to go to

I had to look that up and apparently it means I am a female crab.
