The UK Media.

Hi

i am not happy with it, becoming more and more partisan and less accurate.

The Express.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/polit...aris-frankfurt

One minute Brexit is a huge success, the next a disaster.

At the other end of the scale, the Independent, far more critical then the Guardian.

The Mail changes from day to day, praising Boris and then attacking him.

Life is certainly changing.

Re: The UK Media.

The worrying part is, it is no longer done to sell Newspapers.

Well the disasters that arose from the Rupert Murdoch dynasty should have taught people good lessons for a lifetime - but I think all it taught them was be wary of anything outside of this newsdesk?

But isn't that a good thing? Doesn't that show open mindedness on different aspects of behaviour/policy, rather than following a dogmatic loyalty like many of the other papers you mention?

Agree with your comments, poor journalism and media saturation warping our sense of reality.

Re: The UK Media.

I don't pay much attention to the media , many newspapers including the Express I find laughable.

I have my own 'trusted sources' , certain journalists who are in the know on particular subjects and I read what they have to say on one form of social media .

Let us hope that the new GB news channel can improve things in their reporting instead of the bias and spin put on news by papers and outlets with a political agenda/bias.

Sort of.

The trouble is that the media has become an entity in its own right, other than a means to an end (ie reporting and suggesting analysis of things that have happened or been decided).

Hence it now has too much self-serving focus and tries to create news rather than to keep to its real function.

The Express? Isn’t that a comic? The Mail isn’t much better.
