now there's thung - one of the other articles cited here as a click on talks about other experiments - so there seems to be 2 -or three going on and this is to be expected in the field of research. But this other article mentions that the use of LSD removes the influence temporarily of the 'ego'

Remember Freuds Id Ego and Super ego - the Id is the child in us the ego the adult and the superego the parent - still with me - well another psychiatrist I once read talks about "falling in love being the collapse of the ego "- temporarily of course because as we all know you can't fall in love for ever!

so we could imagine that taking LSD would give us that lovely feeling of falling in love for an hr or two whenever we wanted - now wouldn't that be fun?

In London in 1963, my flatmate and I grew some Peyote cactus. We were very scientific in our experiments. Only one of us took the mescaline while the other watched over him in case anything stupid was contemplated. The whole thing was tape recorded too.

Wow that was good CM very good and I can believe it's authenticity - I do like your cautionary note: one should be the observer and carer in cases of falling off roofs heh? but really the experiment and experience is no less than when in our younger ages we got pied with alcohol and anything else we could get our hands on - I have seen some scary moments with alcohol overuse.
