I must show my granddaughter the cheetahs. They are her favourite animals - in fact one of her favourite dresses is one I made her from cheetah printed jersey. She has tons of clothes, but that one comes out again and again

Yes it was humbling. Even though there were many jeeps in a lot of areas we could get very close to many of the animals and birds. We soon realised though that we were there on the wildlife's terms. One giraffe stopped about ten meters in front of us on a track and started to eat and we just had to sit and wait for it to finish its meal. We weren't allowed to wander round the camps on our own after dark without an armed ranger just in case.
