Re: Red Kite

Beautiful photos. I’ve never seen those before.
My husband and I took some great photos of a pair of bald eagles.
My husband was feeding them the remains of the fish he caught .
They are fascinating birds

Re: Red Kite

Just been seeing on the News that a Red Kite injured a toddler when it swooped down to take a biscuit from him. A visit to hospital to get his hand patched up.

I don't know but it did ..reportedly

https://www.henleystandard.co.uk/new...g-biscuit.html

Edit: I had to do a search (red kite injured a toddler) to find the News item that was on TV but doing that brought up other similar reports.

Re: Red Kite

And this is the reason why feeding the Red Kites as they do in Wales is wrong, no matter how spectacular.

Red Kites no longer fear humans and being scavengers, they will scavenge right out of our hands it seems.

Re: Red Kite

I should have said what good photos these before (or as well as) highlighting the News report. Sorry for that. They are really good photos.

The advice from a bird expert was not to feed or encourage them to come near even though they are great looking birds.
