Ok, I asked on my OP what routine everyone used, for their containers and hanging baskets, no problem.

Re: Containers,etc

At the moment I have only been watering my containers, etc, either early morning or late evening.

As the summer temp warms up,I’m sure I will be watering x2 a day, I’ve been using a watering can, water taken from the butt, it dried up, so have had to fill it with tap water, the plants are thriving.

I did the same, that's what the sweet peas are in.

Re: Containers,etc

That's good Pauline on the healthy plants comment..I have a couple and noticed this morning some very very dry areas that I will have to get the hose to....a case of do or die...one area is a rockery of a sort, has hardy geraniums trailing low geraniums and Ajuga, is a great low spreading plant with blue flowers and lots of leaf growth, in case you do not know that one..helps at least to try and keep the weeds back..make them sound like there's a battle going on with them...There is truly..haha anyway they will be ok but also some new additions that need settling in and more care taken with those ones.
More Container photos taken a while ago today...

I have worked hard on the driveway and guess about 75% cleared of grass and weeds. We do not use weedkillers and the burner works well but just burns the tops so then it grows back this time of year in particular.

"What’s your routine of watering?" is actually what you asked. And that is what I asked.

We had several baskets next to out garage and we a pair at our front door. Very nice - except the neighbouring kids kicked them into the lovely green.

Nice containers Dianne. Those stone ones look heavy, how did you move them into place? Did G carry them
Weeds are never ending. At least containers are easy th clear, you’ll have a job for life with your drive though

Re: Containers,etc

I use water retaining crystals in the compost mix for my hanging baskets. Does help with keeping them moist.

Re: Containers,etc

Took these yesterday, just as well because today we have rain and strong winds. Not full out yet but getting there slowly, everything is so late this year.
