The fashions - mods rule
The memories - saw The Kinks a few times.
The song - one of the best love songs. Terry and Julie. Every Friday. So mundane, so perfect.

Eric Clapton wrote this after his son's death and although I am not a religious person it helped me alot after our son's death.

In the 60's I worked as a docker in Grangemouth, there was a ship tied up at the quayside named Galveston, . . this song had just come out and it's stuck with me.

An old one from a very young Paul Simon.
Such a melancholy song, with the music suiting the theme perfectly.
A story of loss and how you can be affected by those you never meet (no man is an island, sort of thing)
