My first remembered doctor had the typical scrawl that could have been latin or ancient anglo saxon.

And don`t get me on the future tense of Amo-it ends with how some of us felt about our latin teacher

Latin again-Romulus and Remus were raised by a wolf. Ah but lupus could refer to a she wolf and a `she wolf` was a lady of questionable virtue.

As my Latin teacher was wont to remark, 'Twaddle!' - the Iliad may have been originally written in Greek but there are Latin versions dating back to at least the 15th century.

As they say - a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.
