They should be checking the temperature of everyone who gets off a plane.

I think they said on the radio or news that they are working on a new testing kit that will give a result the same day. Manufacturers of testing kits stand to make a packet. As do the labs.
It's too late.

Trump has banned flights to the USA from mainland Europe saying not enough has been done there to minimise the infection....no ban for us....yet.

I suspect Airlines will be losers

Yes airlines, holiday companies, hotels, tourism will be hit.
Winners will be funeral companies, shroud makers and the government if enough old people die.
I wish I had more faith in those supposedly in charge's regard for ordinary people.
I don't expect Stanley Johnson or the Queen will die if they get it even though
they are ancient.

You don’t hear of many stabbings in London lately. I wonder if Coronavirus has reduced crime?

In the paper, this morning are:-

Shortage of coffins.

Shortage of Crems.

Shortage of medical equipment

Proposals to prevent older people using intensive care beds.

Isolation, especially older folk.

Can't remember the name of that film where anyone over 40 was put down!

Maybe all this is just about stopping our free TV licence!

Hi

The people with serious money will always profit.

They can take the long term view and invest in cheap stocks.

Those Countries with huge Sovereign Wealth Funds, such as Norway, will come out of this very well.

Those Countries with huge debts, such as the UK will not.

Re: Who Are The Winners And The Losers Of The Coronavirus Outbreak?

Listening to the news this morning nearly made me puke!!
Religious leaders telling us we must pray for the NHS and the sick. What are we supposed to do, fall on our knees and thank the Lord for spreading this virus around the world?
I wonder how deep the C of E dug into their pockets and contributed money to the NHS.

It really makes me really wonder too when finding the news item below
notified to me on my desktop:

"Pope Francis: Coronavirus could be a response from nature"
