Julian Assange - GREAT NEWS!

Extradition of Julian Assange has been dismissed by UK court.

Finally what many people, me included, who believe that Julian Assange should have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize has had the disgusting persecution attempt kicked into the long grass.

Re: Julian Assange - GREAT NEWS!

I disagree. His organisation did not care about the people's lives who would be affected by publicly posting the leaked security documents, people who worked in the security field who were not given a choice about their private details being publicly exposed. Agents lives who could and would be put in danger if their details were known.

His actions put the lives of people at risk (agents or 'spies' if you want to call them that) and he should therefore be held to account for it.

I agree Dodge, National Security is a unfortunate necessity in the world we live in, and no-one should be allowed to breach it with impunity just because they disagree with it. Many lives can be endangered and international relations between countries ruined, so if you want to change it then get elected and do it properly. For me you could lock Assange up and throw away the key!

There is actually absolutely NO evidence that what was written by Assange put ANYONE'S life or safety at risk.

There is a great deal of evedince that what Assange put into the public domain hugely embarrassed the American government big time. The irony is that most of what Assange caused to be published was quite widely known already.
