I have a big double bed and can sleep anywhere I like in it. Utter bliss.

I have a big double bed as well, but for some reason,I sleep on the right hand side,....

I have a queen sized bed, sometimes I sleep on the left side, sometimes my pillow is on the right side, and my body lays side ways across the top of the bed, almost always with a second pillow at my back ( it is comforting for me to have my back secure).
That said, I have the luxury of sleeping in any position I so feel inclined.
That wasn't the case when there was a spouse involved

I had to use cleats and crampons till I could take no more then it was 'no more Mr nice' !

SF, you need to learn to keep the Sword on the landing and just take the Sheath to bed with you.
