It's A New Year,So I'm Gonna Listen To......!

Most of us make new year's resolutions that we mostly don't keep,but are there any singers that you wanna get more into in the coming year?

Not really, the voice is back in January, if it looks like a cosmetic shoot, I will not watch, it defies the logic of the show, it becomes the X Factor, with added X.

Good question. I think I need to look back over Floydy's Top 1000 thread. There were a few there that I remember thinking I should listen to and get to know a bit more.

I would like to learn more about 'modern' music all together - was brought up on Classical - opera, ballet, etc., Was into Country & Western as a teenager - still love Johnny Cash - but the whole 'pop' music thing seems to have missed me!

I'm not going in there....it's scary....lots of spiders and mice.

I will be listening to The Walkmen.Not new but they are to me.Their first album is called "Everyone who pretended to like me is gone." That about sums it up,I think.

More uplifting music, I seem to have got a bit too much into calming stuff and need a bit of a boost. Might start with Prince and see where I go after that.
