No it isn't. Mail should be subjected to disinfection process, disinfection is possible using a number of chemicals that kill virus, all those people handling mail should at the very least be wearing hand protection and masks as in most shops now.
It would not be 100% effective in all cases but it would be a hell of a lot better than the SFA that is done right now. Even our Hermes courier wears rubber gloves to deliver parcels.

Basically yes
We all have porches which are dry and he knows the most vulnerable.
He is very, very good.
He arrives in a van with two others.
They have a set system and they are very good.
He lives locally, knows the most vulnerable and checks on them.
We are very lucky to have him and his mates.
Our Amazon delivery driver is the same.
She also lives locally, taps the door and waits to see see a thumbs up at the window.
It is not very posh around here, but we do look after each other.
Some of the oldies do not have bank accounts.
There is always someone who will take them to the Post Office to get their money and make sure no prat nicks it.
They have their shopping done for them and nobody takes advantage of them.
Yes , we have a few local Druggies who take advantage of the system, they are decreasing in numbers.
