Why were UK so slow to stop the planes from Italy?

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...s-labour-urges

All along our abject government have claimed they are "following the science".
Well now we learn that eugenics fanatic Dominic Cummings is part of the "SAGE science team"
No doubt he concocted the "herd immunity" strategy that BoJo mindlessly repeated on TV. Also the sacrificing of our care home residents, also allowing the planes full of CV19 to come back to London, Manchester, Gatwick etc without any checks whatsoever.
So now we know why our death toll will be the highest in Europe. We are being led by a phsychomaniac who revels in chaos. The UK failures are political and deliberate. God Help Us.

Yawn.

Edited to add :-

It was the ludicrous and unfounded "eugenics fanatic Dominic Cummings" that did it for me.

I know ... I bet nobody can tell you who scientific experts are though .... that seems unimportant.

I am told, on good authority, that all incoming flights are checked, at the other end - before take off - as the passengers are set to board..

As my source pointed out, it would make no sense to allow contaminated passengers to get on, and fly together, thereby giving it to the staff & other the passengers.

Being a cynical SOB it's much more probable that just loading bums on seats will be the objective because once airborne they're going to be someone else's problem.

Allow the staff to be contaminated and you'll have no flights, no income.

Hi

A simpler question.

We are allowed to return immediately all illegals we find at the present time.

We are stopping boats at sea and instead of returning them we bring them ashore here.

This is a complete nonsense.

More than enough staff laid off one way or another, provide the staff with clinical masks, and Bob's your uncle. Enough cabin crew would be more than happy to be earning the on-duty "normal" wages.

Perhaps they've got a few immigrants together to fill the gaps
Ted?
But seriously l think if the checking is done before boarding then
there should be more coverage of it being done, possibly by the MSM
so that the public can be confident priceedures are being followed
The same applies to testing at this end as well!
And passengers must not be allowd o make their own way home
either??
All this is needed if we are really serious about ending the pandemic?

Donkeyman! 👎👎
