I've just got into the habit of drying it every time I go in the bathroom. Its a bit tedious but it saves it dripping onto the carpet.
My toilet is in a separate room from the shower but I don't think it gets cold enough here for condensation.

I have palpitations when I hear of bathrooms with carpet, when I was in the UK last year my cousin's bathroom had carpet, I was terrified in case I got water on it. My bathroom (and most in this part of the world) you could hose down if you felt so inclined. The laundry and the bathroom even have a drain in the centre of the room.

I don't even have bath any more, just a shower cubical, since the kids were old enough to wash themselves no one used the bath anyway so I had it taken out. Can't stand the thought of lying in my own dirty water, Yuck!

Not that this has anything to do with painting...

I've got the same problem annie and my cisterns ceramic so I don't think it must make any difference whether it's plastic or not.
It didn't used to be a problem when the loo cistern filled from the header tank up in the loft .. but since we changed to a combi type heating system and the water comes in straight from the outside mains it's a real problem.

I reckon you hit the nail on the head there morticia. We didn't always have this problem either till we changed to a combi boiler and they did away with the header tank. The water's obviously too cold for the temperature in the room.
