So sorry to read this Abbey, Nancy was a very pretty cat...

By adopting her from the Rescue you were able to give her the love and care she desperately needed in her last few years.

A very sad day for you as the pet lovers here will appreciate

It won't be too long before I, too, will have to face it - my cat Cassie is almost 19 now

The vet thinks she was around 14 or 15 and having had cats previously I would say at least that .

Sorry for the loss of your cat Nancy, she looked a well kept cat, and i'm sure you gave her everything and lots of love to keep her happy through the last years of her life...

Both cats and dogs form a bond with us humans, I don't know why because most humans are horrible, never the less they do and it's so hard when they pass away.
