Re: Italy ... The Beginning of the End for the EU

Hi

I simply do not get this anti EU rant.

We rely on imported food and medicines.

The virus is here.

Closing the borders would result in huge food shortages and medicine shortages, causing far more deaths than continuing to Trade with the EU.

This is the advice of of your scientists and also the Military Planners.

Listen and learn these people are not idiots.

Because not everyone supports socialism like you do.

The EU should be scaled back to trade only then everyone would be happy. Closing the borders is what Macron wants to do - take up your argument with him.

Besides, we have enough food etc here anyway - the problem isn't supply its transport and stock-piling idiots that are emptying shelves in supermarkets. If you bothered to listen to your own government yesterday, you would know this.

Hi

Really?

We cannot produce enough food to feed ourselves, we are reliant on imports, most from the EU.

Closing the Borders would result in huge shortages of both Food and Medicines.

The Government statement was based on keeping the Borders open.

Nobody in Government has suggested closing our Borders to imports at all.

Some on here have.

You're not making sense.

Borders open for trade and closed to unnecessary travel from citizens.

Our Boris is doing a grand job as is our Rishi.

Only because we got lazy and greedy and preferred to buy things cheaper, so our own industries have all but collapsed. It's time we started standing on our own two feet and get our finger out Swim.....I thought we'd made a start coming out of the EU....

We have enough food here in the UK.

I posted about 2 months ago about just how much of the produce in Tesco was from the UK. I would say it's about 80% minimum.

If people stopped making up stupid scare stories things will get back to normal (ish) soon

This coronaviruscrisis just accelerates the effects of brexit. So you can observe now what otherwise would have happened after a few years. The question is, will boris interpreted it correctly and chose for the nation's interest?

Barnier tested positive for corona. Barnier worked intensively with von der leyen. Could it be von der leyen is on sick leave from corona?

Solidarity? People like you have to use a dictionary to look up the meaning of the word.

Your eu commission and leadership are hiding like incompetent cowards.

The EU has no leadership no direction and no word ... no solidarity in the united states of europe.

Because the EU commission and leadership are incompetent cowards ... it's obvious as each day goes by and all you hear is radio silence.
