By then, of course, we will no longer be a kingdom. We'll be no more than a region (or actually several regions) of the European Empire.

In the old fashioned way of the RF Camilla was not considered good enough . Her reputation was not that good -she had had other boyfriends and she was not really top drawer .
Also Charles dithered and Parker Bowles was a huge catch being quite attractive and very rich .
Diana was chosen because she was practically the only aristocratic virgin in the country .
Her only previous relationship being with her guinea pig .

I don't know for sure of course, but wasn't Charles espected to produce heirs?
If so, maybe Camilla would have been unable or reluctant to at her age, so Charles sought a young fertile lass, but still loved Camilla?

I would bow to the Queen - but to none of the others - and that is more as a sign of respect to someone deserving of it rather then convention.

Re: The Prince Andrew interview

I no longer use the Mail's web site since they recently began imposing a 'pop up' accusing me of using an ad blocker and refusing to show their report until I disable it.

I will not be dictated to by a newspaper, especially a third rate and biased newspaper.

Strangely, though, I can still read their articles on my smartphone app!

Camilla was only a couple of years older than Charles when they first met she gave Andrew Parker Bowles two children .

Re: The Prince Andrew interview

Looks like the DOY will be standing down from public duties for the foreseeable future. The Queen has given him permission. Will this mean he will forfeit the wages/allowance he is paid?

Breaking News!

Prince Andrew has just withdrawn from public service.

Did he ever do any?
