Yes I’d be quite happy for my grandchildren ( I don’t have any) to learn about the differences between peoples gender ect, perhaps it would make those future adults more tolerant and understanding of people so prejudice could finally be a thing of the past, I’m not sure students see universities as a right of passage, some maybe, I think they are possibly naive in thinking that their chosen course will lead to employment in that role, but sadly too many graduates are chasing the same jobs, apprenticeships would be great , but not everyone is suited to that type of work and there aren’t the manufacturing industries there once was, many factories ect are no longer there..Re: Your election promises!

I don’t think somebodys gender is a mental illness, it’s just how they are “ wired” at birth so to speak, and I don’t think they need sympathy, just understanding, and to live their lives as they please, children are remarkably resilient and seem to understand people’s differences weather gender, race or religion if it’s explained honestly to them, as for engineers/apprentices, yes there is a shortage, but not everyone wants or has the aptitude to be an electrician or plumber sadly, unfortunately the world is obsessed with money, venture capitalists tend to move in on companies with the sole intention of making money, sometimes it’s a good thing but if it all goes wrong they just move onto the next company and start again, many small businesses have been bought up this way and merged into larger companies I can’t see it changing.Re: Your election promises!
