How does Corbyn expect to Win?

Hi

It is no secret that I am Left of Centre and consistently say we need to pay more tax to finance our Public Services, Pensions and NHS.

I am not a Marxist however and I simply cannot vote for Corbyn.

His stated policy is to replace Inheritance Tax with a Lifetime gift allowance of £125,000 which is peanuts, even in the very cheap house price area I live in.

His Nationalisation Programme will cost hundreds of £Billions, to what effect?

His wealth distribution scheme will give away 10% of large companies to workers, what a huge disincentive to invest here, and that 10% will severely cut the Pensions of those who have invested Works Pension Schemes.

As for his huge Carbon Reduction Programme involving making existing homes carbon neutral, has he not realised that we will be importing vast amounts more of heat pumps and solar panels?

Companies are not going to be investing in new factories here with 10% of their worth going to employees and the huge increase in Corporation Tax.

I would welcome your views.

Don't mention Corbyn's name to me, I would rather not think about him and his loony policies

If he is elected prepare for chaos and vastly reduced services as those who pay high taxes head for pastures new.

.... and please don’t mention John McDonnell. He is real bad news and he and Corbyn would destroy this country.
I can’t even look at his horrible, evil face.

Re: How does Corbyn expect to Win?

I would never pretend to be across UK politics at even a broad level right now. I can only give a comment based on how it look from here. The daily news coverage here of Brexit, Boris and Jeremy has been very objective and usefully analytical. I speak only for the ABC which is the only news media I trust totally. That is balanced by the newspapers - tend from pretty much left to centre right - which show their biases more. Long story short I have only heard rusted on socialists that don't really even think about the person that wants their vote but just see a party, say they actually like Corbyn. But they often say it as if they are going to be shot at dawn as a traitor to the "cause" if they don't. More people here just see him as slimy, arrogant, opportunistic bullshit artist who plays to the crowd just like Trump does. No matter what you think of Theresa May that "Stupid woman" number he pulled in parliament and his ludicrous subsequent attempt to deny it was pathetic. An insult to the intelligence of anybody. And it proved he was gutless and a liar as well. It was typical of the insufferable arrogance of those kind of leftists display. And I am a left leaner myself. I've voted Labor all my voting life. But I wouldn't vote for him. Not in a pink fit. At least Boris is himself.

Corbyn should be run over by the Boris bus. What an evil IRA loving insect he is.
He wants us to live like the Russians, Well I have been to Russia and seen the run down tenement high rise blocks they live in. Row on row of horrible grey concrete blocks of buildings with washing hanging over the balconies. This is the real Russia they don't want you to see

That is his ideal, before anyone votes for him I say just go and look and see how England will look like with him as PM

As it stands, don't think any government will have a working majority again, in that context, it doesn't matter which political party wins an election.

I think you are right. All just a waste of time and money plus it delays the main event even longer.

Re: How does Corbyn expect to Win?

Corbyn's personal wealth exceeds £4M so how can be begin to understand how the ordinary person struggling to make ends meet, feel. Couple to that to the fact he is simply a puppet to McDonnel and we have a disaster waiting to become PM. Also do not forget that Labour are excellent at spending other people's money until it's all gone, then they leave a note in the treasury safe to tell the next chancellor it's empty as Liam Byrne did last time Labour were thrown our by the electorate.

Unfortunately though, too many of the electorate seem to have selective amnesia where Labour is concerned

Re: How does Corbyn expect to Win?

I've posted before that for many years I was a staunch Labour supporter, and helped Tony Blair get that landslide victory in 1997

Then it all deteriorated very rapidly, and I joined the ranks of those many disillusioned Labour supporters and changed to UKIP, and Voted Leave

The Labour Party has largely forsaken its traditional working class base and now represents the lefty-liberal middle classes; plus of course The Protected Religion

When you look at some of the Labour MPs you wonder how anyone could support them - Corbyn the terrorist sympathiser; Johnny IRA McDonnell; Lammy & The Abbopottamus, who can only muster one brain cell between them; Long-Bailey, who can hardly compose a coherent sentence; and so on

I live in a typical run down old Northern mill town, which always returns a Labour MP because the old working class vote Labour, just like my father did, and his father before him. They would never vote Conservative
Plus there are large numbers of The Protected Religion & Postal Voters
So I'm not expecting much change

However, the vote in The Referendum was over 60% Leave, so there's just a chance that Brexit Party might win
