confection

Do you have a favourite sweet you like to treat yourself too?

I buy a tin of sweets at Christmas, soft centres for dil, toffees for sil, son likes caramel and daughter and I don't mind. Hubby is a wine gum man What do you pick first?

Re: confection

Much that I shouldn't. Usually Celebrations/Quality Street/Roses/Ferrerer Roche/Toffifee.

And when I'm out and about in the City I know of a sweet stall at one mainline station that is usually quite fresh. I then get a bag of pick n mix (have to watch the cost though) and go straight for the bon bons - white, lemon and strawberry. Mmmmmm. Try to save them for later but always start on them straight away.

Cor me favourites are Thortons. Expensive but s*** so nice. Small glass of whisky to offset the sweetness of the chocs. That is Xmas for me really.

Re: confection

Love the Lindt box of soft centres, trouble is they melt in the mouth, so one doesn't last long enough ....

Re: confection

I am very partial to Ling's Turkish Delight, can't seem to buy it now, I do like Rowntrees Fruit Bottles not quite as good but adequate!
