My husband has worn dentures for 35 years.. He can bite an apple without problems. It's ALL about fit.. and having a dentist that knows what he/she is doing. Also the dentist must be willing to work with you until you are satisfied with the fit. The one I had for my bottom plate didn't want to be bothered with me or see me after he slapped the teeth in my mouth. This next time I have been assured by my Prostadontist that she will keep bringing me back and adjusting the fit until I am satisfied. I hope I can trust her..
