I do this often too Carol and my husband is continuously explaining that it might have absolutely nothing to do with me.
You may remind the woman of a cousin she despises or that she wished she was as thin as you. Humans are complex creatures. Probably the best advice I’ve been given is to not expect anything from anyone. That way you aren’t disappointed. Just make sure you are happy and polite to those around you. That’s the best you can do. Worrying about some stranger who well may have mental issues is honestly a waste of your precious time.
