Bin or Bean

I've only just noticed I now say bin instead of been
Unless I'm making a conscious effort to be well spoken that is
"How have you bin"..etc..
Where did that come from I wonder!?

Dunno

Probably because we tend to speak in the vernacular. We in Yorkshire for example don't usually say 'my' , we tend to pronounce it as mi or me (m followed by e as in hen). I also write me on some of the threads like in the sentence "I'm off for me tea".

We also say bin instead of been as in the Ilkley Moor Bah't 'At song.

Here if you're from the outback you'll say "booeen" If you're from the country towns you'll say "bayne" If you're from Perth - boiyne..Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane - "Been". Tasmania - "Birn" Adelaide?..much the same as Perth. That's how I hear it.

Hi

The result of being a teacher and connecting with the kids.

Language changes, it has done so for Centuries.

The reason you are such a brilliant Teacher and get so High Grades for your Pupils is because they can relate to you.

Do not blame yourself, you are doing a great job for them.

You should be immensely proud of yourself.

Re: Bin or Bean

Forget the Bin, the problem seems to be with the Beans, some folks do Beens on toast, but, use a tin of Beans that is too large for one person to consume, so, half the Beans end up in the Bin, its time folks stopped making their toast Bean Laden.
