I have seen those helmets you had to wear when l had an MRI scan on my feet last August. I was in a state that the whole of my body had to go in the tunnel but it was just my feet.

The nurse, showed me the helmet l would have had to wear, had it been my head that was to be scanned.
All l can say is, l commiserate but l’m glad that bit is over for you.
Many thanks - at least, there were no rats or bugs in the coffin (as in "I'm a Celebrity") .....

Then search 20 miles around that postcode for all specialist dentists and compare their specialities. Then research those specialities and make a private appointment to see a super-qualified top-notch specialist.

It could save you a lot of time, pain and teeth!

As for TMJ........unless you KNOW you grind your teeth to the extend your jaw hurts...........

Alternatively - take yourself off for a few months and de-stress!
Good luck
Many thanks ..... my current dentist IS private, a specialist in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery - when he went private, in 1994, I stayed with him because I am a nervous patient (the gagging) - I have noticed another private dental surgery not too far away, so that could be an option .....

I couldn't find an exact copy of the helmet I wore but it was a bit like the second from the right (third from the left ):

It had a "periscope" so that I could see out of the machine and not get "too" claustrophobic (I had a panic button, too ..... )

Many thanks ..... it is what it is, except no-one knows what it it is yet .....

It may be something or nothing, it may go as mysteriously as it came .....

It's all part of the aging process:

Poor you Omah.

Those MRI tunnels are bad enough without having to wear a helmet as well, not sure I could have coped with that.

You did really well by the sounds of it, so fingers crossed for good results now.
