Re: Why don't people listen to their body ?

A friend of mine jogged daily 12 miles for years . He looked after himself and at 50 had to have two new hips as hed worn his own out .

I was always dieting and stayed slim for a while then cuddly then slim on and on until 3 years ago I decided just to be me . Now I'm cuddly , should exercise and walk more , drink less red wine but hey life goes too quick

Good for you Swimmy, you are a fighter for sure.

Re: Why don't people listen to their body ?

I used to listen to my body when I was young but ignored it most of the time.
17 years ago I started to listen more and agreed when my body told me to give up smoking.
9 months ago my body suggested to cut red wine from 15 standard drinks a week to 7.
Changed my eating habits, reduced sugar, started meditating and exercising.
It all made a difference.
Blood pressure medication dosage lowered from 300+ mg to 40mg daily.
You are a little stirrer, Sugarbug. I'm sure you listen to your body as much as everyone on OFF.

Folks usually don't mind listening to my body, but, they take exception when the noise is accompanied by a noxious odour.

Sugarbug - if you rephrased your statement to something like "Why don't we listen to our bodies a little more?" instead of simply inferring that we couldn't give a toss one hundred per cent, then your thread would be worth sensible discussion.
Go back to the drawing board my sweet.
Honestly I knew I would get reaction by saying 100%.
I also said from head to toe we don't listen to our bodies .
That also means our mouth .
If we are being honest , how many of us said things
or done things . Then regretted it, saying I knew better , why didn't I listen to myself .
As for me having a sensible thread or discussion, its not
my character .
To have people wonder about things , and have fun is .
Ps . I can't draw for beans .
