I can't see why they want one.A plane like a smaller version of Trumps personal plane would be more useful I would have thought and they could probably pick one up for a song at the moment.
Likewise if they really need a ship then buying an older one and refurbishing would surely be a lot cheaper?

I agree we don't really need a Royal Yacht but I can appreciate it may have its uses for trade missions abroad particularly in these days of terrorism.It would of course be commissioned and fitted in the UK and there would be lots of apprenticeships, better to give the young unemployed a role rather than paying benefits for doing nothing if there is a post C19 shortage of jobs..

I have a brain of my own that allows me to make assessments, I don't 'fall' for anything others have to say.As I said in my earlier post I would rather not have a new Yacht.
