Anyone else getting this message today. The message says;



Your connection is not fully secure
This site uses an outdated security configuration, which may expose your information (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards) when it is sent to this site.
NET::ERR_SSL_OBSOLETE_VERSION


Then there is an 'Advanced' button which will allow you to view the site - and a 'Back to safety button'


I am getting this with all Google searches from this morning and it is extremely annoying. Is it Google up to their usual 'Let's bugger up someone's laptop' tricks?

Is it on this website LD, or all searches you are trying?

Have you tried a full scan?

Anything I search on Google, Mups. Scan is up to date as is virus protection.

It appears to be Google that is responsible for the message.

What's odd is that the message appears when I Google 'Google.com'. You would think that the company putting out the not secure message would be secure????

Scanned your message and there were many responses on line over a period of time.

you might want to read them all and match them up to your configuration?

I've just tried a few searches with Google - no errors.

Is the date (including the year) on your computer correct?

If I use google.com I get a load of their Privacy rubbish, 'do this and do that' to ensure 'your information is secure'. By then I have forgotten what it was I wanted to search! However, when I use the usual Google search google.co.uk all is OK.

These days I tend to use DuckDuckGo, a search engine that I have found is not quite as good as Google, similar but they don't track your searches, so not so much rubbish advertising 'tailored to your searches' which with Adblock also on suits me very well.

Edited to add, after reading other posts:
I am using an Apple Macintosh with Safari browser so perhaps using Microsoft / Chrome is more problematic? I have on odd occasions had the 'Not secure' warnings but experienced no problems in that respect.
