Is Boris bored with covid??

Boris is at loggerheads with the experts again over covid ?
They are warning him restrictions are being lifted too rapidly ?
IMO one has just realised that he has spent too much money on
this project and is now offloading the problem in his usual manner !
That is, put the onus on someone else as he did with brexit ?
This time the onus will fall on the general public with his statement
that people must use their own judgement over their own safety ??
Whilst l agree that people must use common sense, it seems to me
that this sudden removal of all restrictions at the same time seems
to indicate that the the original plan has been abandoned for some
non scientific reason ?

Just bored. Rumours that he won't last until next GE.

Boris Johnson may not fight the 2024 general election, and his heart might not be in staying the full term, an expert has suggested.

As much as I dislike the man, I must say that trying to lead a country during a pandemic, can't be easy. I'll not be sorry to see him gone though. Our First Minister is still being very cautious (not a fan of her either, really, due to her constant barrage of Independence talk) but at least she isn't all gung ho, up and at 'em like Boris is.

I believe you're right. He's let the country down with Brexit, though at least he managed to complete the Covid vaccination programme - or rather the NHS did.

Re: Is Boris bored with covid??

Lifting restrictions is ok providing every one is sensible but as we have seen all over the country people are not sensible.
It will cause many a fight on public transport vehicles and in pubs and clubs.
I am only to pleased to see that Khan the London Mayor as the backing of the officials to carry on restricting people to wearing mask's on bus's and trains in the capital.
Although for the life of me I cannot see how he can stop everyone who is not wearing a mask on trains and bus's.
Who will be paying the extra manpower for this job I wonder.

Lets hope Boris see's sense the last thing I need is my missus fetching home the Delta variant or some other one she as picked up travelling into work.
Emphysema is a killer on its own it don't need another bug along side it.

I agree that the general public, on average, have little " common"
sense Longfellow !
However us sensible ones still have the option to wear a mask ?
Or even two masks if we wish ??
